Following the March 23 US_CMS meeting, I am sending you the form enclosed below (as handed out at the meeting) as it may be of aid to you. Please return it to me if you wish, and I will copy and forward it to the appropriate editor.
As discussed at the meeting, DoE wishes a statement from US_CMS of FY95 and FY96 requests for support and of overall responsibilities about April 25. The request by DoE assumes that the Drell subpanel report will be favorable, as indicated by the preliminary report to HEPAP on March 7. On the strength of a favorable report, DoE is willing to consider a CMS initiative in FY96.
Therefore, we have precious little time to organize ourselves. The meeting announced by Michel Della Negra for April 6-7 seems an appropriate time to try to have a fairly coherent document ready BEFORE the meeting. Hence, I urge you to fill out the form as completely as possible.
