Jim Hanlon will post the linked subprojects on the US CMS server. You have the subsystem cost ceiling based on assigning contingency to Common Projects. It remains to you to do the work! We must push ahead, as surely iterations are needed; contingencies will be adjusted and descoping WILL BE NEEDED. Working back from a MOU signing in April to a baselining review in March, the schedule is very tight. You are responsible for the L2 work. Please let us know when you are ready for a PMG review, and make it as soon as possible. On another topic, there is a meeting in Washington Nov.10 with an agenda item concerning methods of funding universities. The Lehman review also advises US CMS management to adopt MPO. As mentioned already, I consider the MPO the default option, and funds will not be transferred in any case without a signed FY98 SOW. As L2 managers, you are responsible for establishing a work plan given your allocation, for vetting the SOW, and for passing them on for signature. To date I am underwhelmed with signed SOW. Looks to me like you'll be very busy in the next few months.
