From: skuja@umdhep.umd.edu
Subject: CMS HCAL meetings May 25/26
Dear Colleagues:
We need to get together to discuss the '95 test beam, the '96 R & D
program, as well as HCAL engineering and integration issues. I propose
the following one to two day meeting at Fermilab.
Thursday, May 25
9:00 Status of '95 test beam work (Freeman, et al.)
9:45 Measurement of Kharkov scintillator (Hagopian)
10:00 Status pf photodetector R & D (Cushman)
10:30 - 11:00 Discussion of '96 R & D
Jim Virdee has proposed that we do a combined
HB and EB run in H2 at CERN in '96, including
our choice of photodetectors in the field. Jim Freeman
and I think this is a good idea.
We also have to finish the engineering for a prototype
wedge.
11:00 - 12:30 Indvidual Budget requests for 1996
12:30 - 1:30 Lunch
1:30 - 3:30 Resolution of '96 Budget (D. Green, J. Freeman, A.Skuja)
3:30 - 5:00 HB/HF engineering (welding, track supports, installation,
cryostat, '95/'96 priorities) (I. Churin, L. Bartoszek,
B. Wands, M. Murbach)
5:00 AOB
Friday, May 26
10:00 - 12:30 Engineering integration - endcap, barrel, supports,
cabling, alignment, cryostat
( I will invite the Wisconsin physicists/engineers
and D. Eartley to attend as well)
All HCAL/VFCAL Institution Reps should send a copy of their proposed
budget with one line justifications to
skuja@umdhep.umd.edu, dgreen@fnalv.fnal.gov, freeman@fnalv.fnal.gov
prior to the meeting. I will distribute a copy of all requests to the
HCAL/VFCAL group before we meet.
Best wishes.
