US HCAL Meeting: May 16-18, 1996

Subject: CMS HCAL meetings May 16,17 and 18


  Dear colleagues:

  We will need at least onw more HCAL meeting in May to discuss test beam
  issues, comments from the MB (and internal referees). I would also
  like to make a first pass at the 1997 budget based on recommended figures
  from Dan Green.

  I suggest the following schedule:

  All meetings in WH8SW conference room.

  Thursday, May 16 (afternoon/FNAL)   

        1:30pm - 3:30pm  Mechanical design and integration (engineering)
        3:30pm - 4:30pm  Working group on mechanical R & D
                         (FNAL/Maryland/Mississippi)
        4:30pm - 5:30pm  Working group on Test Beam mechanical construction 
                         (FNAL/Maryland/Mississippi/Rochester)
    
  Friday, May 17 (morning/FNAL)  

           9am - 11:00am  Test beam preparation (Freeman/others)
        12noon - 12:30am  Report on Engineering (Churin/others)
  
  Friday, May 17 (afternoon/FNAL)  

         1:30pm - 2:30pm  Simulaton and Calorimeter design(Weimin/Kunori/etc.)
         2:30pm - 3:30pm  Bombay/India report (Mondal)
         3:00pm - 5:00pm  Electronics,photodetectors,slow controls(Elias/etc.)  
                         

  Saturday, May 18 (morning/FNAL/all US HCAL)  

         9:00am    US HCAL Project Budget (Dan Green)
        10:00am    1997 Budget (Green/Freeman/Skuja)
                   Presentations by institute on 1997 R & D plans
